What is the purpose of the In-Clinic tests? Do I have to do all of them?

The tests that are done at an ADNI clinical site provide the best and most detailed information about your brain health to the study team. For example, brain imaging scans, such as MRI and PET, allow us to see pictures of your brain. Those are currently some of the best tools we have to diagnose Alzheimer’s disease. If you have a PET scan, you will be contributing very important data to Alzheimer’s research. 

We realize some people do not want to do all of the tests, or may have reasons they can’t do them, and there are tests that are optional. If you are eligible to join the In-Clinic study, the site staff will help explain to you each test or procedure. We will make sure you have the information you need to decide if you want to participate.
