Yes. If you consent to joining the ADNI4 Blood Biomarker study, our team will email you with instructions to set up a blood draw appointment at Quest. We will also provide you a Quest Order Confirmation Information sheet that we would like you to print and bring with you to your blood draw. You will be emailed the Order Confirmation Information sheet so that you can print it, or you can bring a smartphone or tablet and show it to the Quest staff on your device. This Order Confirmation Information sheet helps maintain your confidentiality.
We also ask that you fast (do not eat or drink anything, but you can drink water) for at least 6 hours before you get your blood drawn at a Quest location. We recommend that participants try to make an appointment to have their blood drawn in the morning. That way you can have your blood drawn and then can enjoy a breakfast meal. We recommend participants stay well hydrated by drinking water on the day of (and even on the day before) your blood draw appointment. Drinking water also lessens the chance of feeling light-headed. It is also okay to bring a snack to eat after your blood draw is finished.
We recommend you wear comfortable clothing, especially something that is easy to roll up your sleeve.
